Apple knows what customers want, and they take created the Apple iPhone with this in mind. This is one of the reasons this phone has become so popular. One of the biggest features that people want when they purchase a cell phone is simplicity. A cell phone needs to be easy to use. People want simplicity and functionality; they do not want a hassle when it comes to locating phone numbers and contacts. Here we will give you an overview of the iPhone and some of its features.

The features of your Apple iPhone are so numerous that to list them all would fill an eBook. Your iPhone includes widgets (small programs that make everything simple) that help you to keep up to date with things such as the weather, stock reports, and anything else that you might wish to know. Keeping these on your start page gives you everything that you need to know right there, available for you to access anytime you need it. It is this ease of use combined with a plethora of features that has made the iPhone so popular.

Continuing on with an overview of the iPhone, we should talk about mobility – that is hands free mobility. Accessories are essential for hands free communication with your iPhone. For ease of use while driving (and for safety) or moving around, you need a Bluetooth for your iPhone. For cell phone users who run, jog, or walk, a sport band to attach your iPhone to your arm will keep in touch with everyone.

The iPhone takes guessing out of making a phone call. By using a single fingertip, you can make a call to any of the people on your contact list, either by selecting their name or their telephone number. Need to make a conference call? If you are talking to two people, you can merge the calls so you can conference. It does not get any easier! visit >>>http://livexpo.co.uk

Apple Store

An overview of the iPhone would not be complete without mentioning the memory capacity of the iPhone. You cannot upgrade the memory or add memory cards. There is a 6 GB model, an 8 GB model and a 16 GB model. That’s it, no more. Another complaint is with the internet browser. Many feel that the search capability is severely lacking and the browser does not have the ability to save passwords. However, internet access is relatively easy with an iPhone. Let’s face it, there is no such thing as a perfect internet connection.

Buy Now From Amazon

There are other features that you may like and find useful. There are more than 10,000 YouTube videos that have the H264 encoding the iPhone requires. This means that there is a literal sea of video content for you to view for free. If you want to watch any other type of video, you will have to get it converted to your iPhone’s format first. YouTube is working very closely with Apple. The result of this is that videos posted to YouTube are easily viewed on the iPhone. In addition, the enormous selection of movies and TV programs on iTunes means that you will find something to suit your tastes, no matter what genre of video or TV programming you prefer.

There is so much that iPhone offers that it is impossible to list everything that it can do in this article, which is just an overview of the iPhone. This device is one that manages to combine fashion, form and function into a single unit. You can buy the iPhone online or through AT&T. Take the time to get insurance on your purchase. If it breaks, you drop it into a glass of iced tea, or your dog eats it, you want AT&T to foot the bill. Now that you have an overview of the iPhone, why not an iPhone, enjoy it and listen to all the music you can possibly fit onto a single phone. Although it is pricey, it provides a lot of entertainment for the money.

Best Buy Apple iPhone 3G 8GB – Unlocked

Technical Details

Apple iPhone 3G Unlocked for any GSM carrier worldwide

NO TURBO-SIM REQUIRED

GUARANTEED TO WORK OUT OF THE BOX WITH YOUR SIM CARD

NO TWO Year contract

Apple iphone 3G 8GB

This phone was sold as NEW and unlocked and we received it promptly after the Sept. 13th order fulfillment.
On Oct 24th, the Phone failed completely. It would not re-start with soft and hard reset. It continued to be locked up completely with unresponsive touch on a fully energized main screen (the first “unlock” display present and waiting). The unit was taken to a local Apple Store (while we were traveling, Tampa Florida) and the Apple service agent checked the Apple database to discover that the unit was out of their one year warranty period by about 2 months.

This phone also exhibited minor problems in use: Screen colors were tinted slightly orange; Apple locator on Google Maps had trouble locating the unit. We were willing to “pass” on these performance issues, but not now with a “dead” locked phone. When we took this phone to the Apple store, the technician also noted that the red water damage indicator had gone off. In the 6 weeks we had the phone, it was never in more water than the ambient humidity which further suggests to us that the “new” phone we purchased was indeed a used unit. The Apple Technicians will not go any further with service at this time. We have a dead unit.

Request:
A request for a refund in full has been made, via Amazon communications to the company (The OEM Planet) or possibly a replacement unit. Our problem is that they have simply sent a “boiler plate” return form, but the form clearly states a 30 day return policy…. there is no mention of what they will actually honor beyond the 30 day period (our case), and so we are presently stuck. We don’t seem to have a true email address by which to continue a dialog with this company.

In summary: we were sold a supposedly NEW iPhone 3GS, but all internal appearances are that this phone was never really NEW, but rather an used phone albeit with excellent outward appearance.

From the Manufacturer

Nikon’s D50 interchangeable-lens digital SLR camera is designed to make it easier than ever to enjoy the thrill of outstanding digital SLR picture quality easily and instantly. Combining the outstanding response of Nikon’s patented digital and photographic performance with optical performance available only from renowned Nikkor interchangeable lenses and expanded shooting options only available in a quality digital SLR camera, the Nikon D50 makes exceptional digital SLR photography a reality for everyone. The next evolution of Nikon’s scene-optimized Digital Vari-Program modes simplifies picture taking, freeing the photographer to concentrate on capturing the evanescence of special moments. Selecting one of the seven easily distinguishable icons from the handy exposure mode dial optimizes otherwise complex settings and ISO-equivalent sensitivity to produce consistently remarkable results. Newly added is Child mode, which makes it easier to take memorable pictures of the little ones complete with ideal vivid color and contrast–ready to print beautifully without the fuss of later adjustments at the computer. Full manual exposure control is also available, allowing more advanced photographers all the creative freedom they desire while also making it possible for all photographers to expand their enjoyment of photography.

The D50 features a new 6.1 effective megapixel Nikon DX Format CCD image sensor and a highly advanced image processing engine that team together to create truly faithful image files that are capable of significant enlargement while remaining manageable in overall file size, making it easier to take and store more great pictures. These optimized components produce more consistent results, even under shooting conditions that challenge other digital cameras, such as when working with light-colored subjects or long exposure shots.

Distinguishing itself over lesser systems, the Nikon D50 is always ready to shoot when that special moment or expression presents itself. When the power is turned on, the camera is ready to shoot in just 0.2 seconds for near-instant readiness. The shutter’s release lag time is also minimized for near-instant response that virtually eliminates a common frustration of digital photography.

Continuous shooting at 2.5 frames per second can be maintained for bursts of up to 137 pictures, making action photography a reality. Pictures taken are instantly processed and recorded to the photographer’s compact SD (Secure Digital) memory card. A new USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface supports faster transfer of images when connected to a compatible computer.

Shutter speed choices extend from 30 seconds to an action-stopping 1/4,000 second. A high-speed flash sync speed up to 1/500 second makes great fill flash photography possible, and Nikon technology makes it automatic. A bulb setting is also included for long exposures. The shutter is designed to ensure fast curtain action for consistent operation and accurate, predictable results, even at high shutter speed settings. Auto ISO maximizes available light by automatically setting ISO-equivalent sensitivity across the available range of 200 to 1600. D50 photographers can also opt to set the ISO sensitivity manually for personal control.

The D50′s 5-area autofocus system inherits Nikon’s proven cross-type center sensor, broad frame coverage, and class-leading low-light detection found only in the award-winning Nikon D70 camera, and it delivers even greater AF precision with fast, more consistent subject acquisition and improved focus tracking. The new system adopts AF-A mode for smooth automated operation that switches between AF-S (single-servo autofocus) and AF-C (continuous-servo autofocus) depending on the movement of the subject in the framed shot. An AF-assist illuminator is also included, which helps maximize performance when shooting in low lighting conditions.

The D50 produces consistently natural coloration by measuring the entire frame of the shot and matching white balance to the light source. Advanced auto white balance handles most lighting situations, but the flexible options include a choice of six specific manual settings, white balance bracketing for added creative choice of results, as well as a preset option for using a gray or white object as a calibrating reference under mixed lighting conditions.

Nikon’s new 3D Color Matrix Metering II ensures accurate exposure control in most types of lighting situations by automatically comparing input from its frame-wide 420-pixel sensor for each scene to a large onboard database of over 30,000 scenes from actual photography. Professionals and amateurs alike rely on Nikon’s exclusive light metering technologies that produce ideal exposures instantly. Newly developed exposure evaluation methods detect highlights and shadows in the frame and compensate for them to help minimize under- or over-exposure by comparing the lighting pattern of the frame with the onboard database of scenes, thus enhancing performance for more accurate and consistent exposures.

The compact, lightweight design of the new D50 makes it easy to carry on any outing, while its body contours and easily accessible controls provide handling efficiency and easy operation. Newly designed on-screen menus present clear and helpful user information in plain language on the D50′s large 2.0-inch LCD monitor, and intuitive help dialogs are available for on-the-spot reference to the respective menu selections. The high-capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery helps extend mobility and convenience by delivering the power to shoot up to 2,000 images on a single charge.

The D50 is an outstanding performer, right down to its diverse playback options, versatile custom settings, USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface for easy connectivity or direct printing to any PictBridge compatible printer with in-camera page setup, and Nikon’s complimentary PictureProject software that will extend anyone’s photographic experience with easy image transfers, effective image organization and editing, creative page layout design, plus printing and sharing. PictureProject’s new version 1.5 provides customers with an exceptional added value topped only by its excellent performance.

These inherent advantages combine with the empowering and creatively inspiring components of Nikon’s Total Imaging System, including high-quality AF and DX Nikkor lenses, Speedlights and Nikon’s Creative Lighting System, as well as versatile software options, to deliver a new level of operating ease, expanded creative possibilities, and pure enjoyment. The Nikon D50 presents the perfect opportunity for anyone to start enjoying the advantages of Nikon digital SLR photography today.

- One of the most cheapest WiFi & (A)GPS-ready android phone.
- Fast & stable performance.
- Long battery life (standby time).
- Good design (curves at the top & bottom, brushed-metal-like plastic case).
*Cons:
- Resistive screen => no double-tap zooming.
- Old version of Android (1.6). But upgradable to 2.1 (support Live Wallpaper).

Suggestion:
- Install APNdroid (must use 3.0, 2.1 won’t work) + 3G Watchdog.
- Install ApkInstaller to install applications from SD card.

Now there is no need to carry both an iPhone/Android phone AND iPad/Android tablet! This phone-tablet device has better resolution (and pixel density of course) than the iPad, and it’s a third of the size, so it’s much easier to carry and walk around with. AND it’s much more than just a 3G tablet, it’s also a phone for those times that you wish to send SMS, and to have a ‘normal’ (verbal) phone conversation without voice over IP apps. I am one of those people that actually ‘texts’ a lot more than I speak into my phone, but the phone is a bit large, so hands-free earbuds or a bluetooth headset is recommended if you speak into your phone a lot.

Because of my impatience, I imported my Galaxy Note from a UK site before it was available on Amazon, but I would have preferred to purchase this device from Amazon instead of importing from overseas. I was so excited to receive my note, and I am simply amazed by the screen resolution and speed!! The build quality is excellent, the device is light (and thin if that’s your thing), and a fully charged battery lasts from morning ’til night! I am going to sell my iPhone and Android tablet ASAP!

More on the screen resolution/camera:

Remote desktop/VNC access from the Note is amazing for those of us that sometimes work remotely, and this device currently has the best balance of usability and portability; For example, for remote desktop use, the iPhone 4/4S is limited by 960 x 480 pixels, the iPad is currently limited by 1024 x 768 pixels, and any Android tablet with 1280 x 800 resolution is nowhere as portable as the Note! Even if Apple finally releases a 9.7-inch 720p iPad in March, I will be staying devoted to my Note. (Tablet makers should be focusing on making 1080P tablets for 2012, in my opinion.) Speaking of pixels, the Note has an 8MP camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front, so once again much better than any iPad/Android tablet camera, and on par with the cameras on any of the newer smartphones eg. iPhone 4S/Galaxy S2.

Also, if the 5.3-inch screen is too small for remote desktop or watching movies, say in a hotel room, the Note has HDMI-out via a MHL-HDMI adapter! (Samsung and other brands available on Amazon; Take a look on Youtube for NZtechfreak’s excellent video reviews on HDMI-output and other amazing things you can do with the Galaxy Note!)

What would I improve about the Galaxy Note?
1. LED notifications; there are no flashing lights when a new push message is received, not cool man!
2. If it could have been just a bit smaller (around 4.9 inches), but not as small as the 4.65-inch Galaxy Nexus, which has a 1280 x 720 resolution (but only a 5MP camera by the way, and the home screen is still only 4 icons wide!).

In summary, the Samsung Galaxy Note is:

1. Better than any smartphone – matching camera/phone features but faster processor, more pixels/higher resolution = more home screen icons, and a longer battery life!

2. Better than any tablet – matching screen resolution and long battery life with any of the newer tablets, but has a better camera, and is still small enough to walk down the street with.

This is the best mobile device ever made!!!

Best Buy Apple iPad (first generation) MB292LL/A Tablet (16GB, Wifi)

I’ve now spent the better part of a day playing with the new iPad, and while it excels in many things there are still some things anyone considering buying one should probably keep in mind.

First the good sides:

This thing is very fast, opening and closing applications is quick, the screen is incredibly responsive, there is no lag while typing, and the built in Safari browser does a great job of quickly loading even graphic intense pages.

The not so good sides:

As has been thoroughly pointed out, there is not presently much in the way of multitasking within the iPhone OS, but with most expectations pointing towards a summer release of OS 4.0 this might be remedied by mid summer, and almost certainly by a generation 2 release. That said, it should be kept in mind that on such a little screen being able to view multiple applications at once will likely never be something you’ll use, and the speed by which you can open and close applications makes this less a headache than you might think. It isn’t as fast as moving between open apps, but it isn’t a deal breaker by any means. The lack of a camera in this generation is a little surprising, while I’ve purchased my iPad already, I honestly believe that with the number of competitors expected over the course of 2010 we’re probably going to see a generation 2 by Christmas with a camera. It’s still an amazing device, but the ability to video chat with it would definitely put it over the top, that’s a feature worth waiting for. The lack of Flash support isn’t as irritating as I expected it to be, but still something to consider. Many major sites have evolved to html5, or are in the process of doing so. This allows for full viewing by the Safari browser, and where it exists, it works great. The remaining sites still using Flash show up with annoying little boxes looking for a plugin that is likely never going to exist. If you spend a lot of time on flash heavy sites it really probably is worth considering holding out to see how the Slate/Android Tablets look in a few months, but if you’re mostly just e-mailing and checking facebook (no Farmville) the lack of Flash support probably won’t bother you too much.

As a laptop replacement:

The inclusion of the iWorks utilities gives this device a little bit of a laptop personality. Don’t let that persuade you into believing that you don’t need a computer though. You might be able to get away with ditching a laptop if all you really do is e-mail or very light word processing, but if you do anything more than that you’ll like the freedom and ease a full computer offers for more complex tasks. That said, this device is a tremendous leap towards a future tablet style device that may very well be a replacement for your computer, but for now it is more of a casual use device than something you can really expect to do substantial work with. I have put together a presentation in keynote, which was easy enough to do, but pages isn’t as intuitive as I’d have liked, and taking lengthy notes or writing long letters/e-mails/reports will probably make it worth considering buying either the keyboard dock or the wireless bluetooth keyboard.

Battery life seems to live up to the claims, I managed to get about 7 hours before getting the 20% remaining battery life indication, which puts it about right for 10 hours or so of total use. One very important thing to realize about charging the device is that presently (at launch) there is some issues with charging via USB from many computers. The iPad is different than other iPod products, it requires a bit more power to charge up, and unfortunately most USB ports aren’t set up to support that higher power draw. This is something that may be fixed in a firmware update to allow for a slower charge, or it may simply be that you’ll need to either rely on a new Mac (seems like they can handle the power issue) or rely on the wall charger. Just don’t be surprised if you plug it into your computer and it doesn’t show that it is charging.

All in all, the iPad is an impressive device that might make for a reasonable replacement of a netbook for casual users. For people who need something to really do a lot of work on, you may find that for the price that a netbook or laptop still offers the better value for your needs. Future generations of this device will probably transition into fitting that market better than this first generation. However, if you’re an avid reader, casual gamer, music fan, who doesn’t do much more on the web than check a few sites, and e-mail. This thing is definitely worth considering! If you’re on the fence, nothing about this product is so incredible as to justify running out and buying one right now, but it is worthy of your consideration if you’re thinking you might like a tablet style device. I definitely would encourage you to go play with one at best buy or an apple store to get a feel for it. With a number of competitors due out over the next few months we’re likely to see some price movement, or a second generation release, so it may be worth it to wait it out a little while.

One final note, the screen is absolutely gorgeous while it is turned on. It is crisp, bright, and very easy to see from any angle. But when you turn it off, every finger print and swipe is suddenly very visible (while it is on the light is bright enough you don’t see them fingerprints). If you are a neat freak, or just hate finger prints on your devices you’ll have to invest in some microfiber cloths or get used to using your shirt sleeve!

In conclusion, it’s a lot of fun, and I’m not the least bit sorry to have bought one. It does many things, and over the next months will do many more. If you think you want one, go play with one, and if you don’t want to wait for a next generation this one is definitely awesome. If you have specific needs that aren’t really addressed in this generation or by apple, don’t let the hype or peer pressure bully you into this one, there are a number of devices coming with great potential, one of those might be a better fit.
